                संयोजकता बंध सिद्धांत की सीमाएं संयोजकता बंध सिद्धांत संकुलों के गुणों को स्पष्ट करने वाला एक सरल सिद्धांत है। किंतु इसकी कुछ सीमाएं हैं, इन्हे इस सिद्धांत की कमियां या दोष भी कहा जा सकता है। (1) यहां सिद्धांत धातु संकुलों में विभिन्न संरचनाओं तथा विभिन्न उपसहसंयोजन संख्या उनके आपेक्षिक स्थायित्व की व्याख्या करने में असफल है। उदाहरण-यहां सिद्धांत इसकी संतोषजनक व्याख्या नहीं कर सकता कि Co(ii) अष्टफलकीय एवं चतुष्फलकीय दोनों प्रकार के संकुल क्यों बनाता है। जबकिNi(ii)  साधारणतया अष्टफलकीय  संकुल ज्यादा तथा चतुष्फलकीय संकुल बहुत कम बनाता है। (2) कॉपर (ii) कि केवल विकृति अष्टफलकीय संकुल बनाने की प्रवृत्ति होती है, भले ही पहली छः लिगैण्ड समान हों। (3) यह यहां सिद्धांत धातु संकुलों के उनके चुंबकीय चमक व्यवहार के आधार पर आंतरिक कक्षक तथा बाहय् कक्षक संकुलों में  वर्गीकृत करता है, जो क्रमशः सह संयोजक तथा आयनिक गुण रखने वाले माने जाते हैं। कुछ धातु संकुल इसके विपरीत व्यवहार दर्शाते हैं। (4) इस सिद्धांत के अनुसार संक्...

पर्यावरण मृदा, तापमान, प्रकाश एवं जल जैसे कारकों या अवयवों से मिलकर बना हुआ एक जटिल तन्त्र होता है, जो कि जीवधारियों के चारों ओर उपस्थित होता है। अत: “कोई भी बाह्य पदार्थ जो जीवधारियों के चारों ओर उपस्थित है तथा किसी भी रूप में जीवधारियों के जीवन को प्रभावित करते हैं, उन्हें पर्यावरणीय कारक कहते हैं।"      चूँकि पर्यावरण बहुत-से कारकों से मिलकर बना होता है, अत: जीव अपने-आपको उस पर्यावरण के अनुरूप अनुकूलित करके जीवित रहते हैं। पर्यावरणीय कारक चार प्रकार के होते हैं- (1) जलवायवीय कारक -ये जलवायु से सम्बन्धित कारक होते हैं। उदाहरण-प्रकाश, ताप, आर्द्रता, वर्षा, वायु आदि। (2) स्थलाकृतिक या भौगोलिक कारक -इसके अन्तर्गत भौगोलिक स्थिति से सम्बन्धित कारक आते हैं। उदाहरण-तुंगता (Altitude), ढलान (Slope), पर्वत श्रृंखलाएँ। (3) मृदीय कारक -इसके अन्तर्गत मृदा (Soil) से सम्बन्धित कारक आते हैं। उदाहरण-मृदा निर्माण, मृदा परिच्छेदिका, मृदा जल, मृदा वायु, मृदा ताप, मृदा जीव आदि। (4) जैविक कारक -इसके अन्तर्गत विभिन्न प्रकार के जीव-जन्तु व पादप आते हैं।
